"Les Haggasin" of Toronto held it's second meeting on May 7th 2009, at the Jerusalem Restaurant in Toronto.

From the email replies I have been getting, it appears it was a very successful get together.

31 persons attended, a sumptuos buffet which included: Kofta, falafel, lamb, basbousa, tilapia, wine leaves, mahshi, hummous, tehina, arab salads, roz be laban and many more middle east delicacies. Our attendants included many "cairottes" too.

The evening was very friendly, full of laughter (started with Noktas by Roro Paoli) followed by many more jokes by others. This was followed by a belly dancer, where as usual many p ar ticipants danced with the belly dancer.

All in all a delightful evening.

We will be holding our next meeting probably in November.

We held our meeting at the Jerusalem Restaurant, and had 26 people attending (including 5 newcomers).

The meeting was full of joy and everyone admitted they had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the camaraderie.

The meal was delicious, with Kofta, fish, shish kebab, lamb, falafel, middle east salads, babaganoush, hummous be tehina mahlabia, baalawa, konafa, roasted potatoes and many other middle east plates.

Nando Arcon related to us his 3 week trip to "Les plus belles plages d'Egypte" with pictures, which delighted everyone.

This was followed by noktas started by Roro Paoli, but many others joined in, to make it a very pleasant lunch.
